The FORCE Art Group

A diagnosis of cancer can prompt a whole range of emotions for patients and their loved ones. It is not always easy to put those feelings into words.Collage in centre

Expressive art is a way to explore your emotions and develop a greater understanding of how you are feeling and why.

It can help you relax and lessen worry, apprehension, nervousness and tension.

It has even been shown to reduce a wide range of symptoms including fatigue, pain, depression, anxiety, a DSC01520 - Copylack of appetite and breathlessness.

From October, the FORCE Art Group will be held at our Support and Information Centre on Thursdays from 2-4pm and offers a chance to explore colour, shape and texture in an informal, relaxing and supportive environment.

Anyone affected by cancer is invited to join our creative sessions. We have many activities on offer including Painting, Printing, Ceramics and Textiles.

You don’t need any skill or experience. We have the materials – all you have to bring is the enthusiasm. All are welcome.
